Taking Time to Step Back: My July Reading List

In this fast & ever-changing world, we need time and space to Step Back. Time to think, reflect, dream, connect. These moments are when breakthroughs and progress happen.
Each year, I seek out time to do just that. I create space away from speaking, meeting and consulting so I can feed my own development.
As July begins, so will my intentional time Stepping Back.
Pictured above is my reading list—books I plan to enjoy and search for inspiration from throughout the month:
- Seven Brief Lessons on Physics by Carlo Rovelli
- Everybody, Always: Becoming Love in a World Full of Setbacks and Difficult People by Bob Goff
- It’s Not about the Coffee: Leadership Principles from a Life at Starbucks by Howard Behar (who also happens to be a guest speaker at Thermostat Cultures Live)
Stepping Back refuels me as a creative, as a father, husband, friend and human. It allows room for new ideas and space for connections to grow. It allows me time to explore and rest.
I hope you seek out time to Step Back and refuel for the important areas of your life and work, too.
Trust me—you’ll be better because of it.
