Global Leadership Conference In Thailand

I’m just recently back from an amazing trip to Bangkok, Thailand where I was honored to speak at the Global Leadership Conference for Entrepreneurs’ Organization!  With over 2000 entrepreneurs from 51 countries around the globe coming together in one place, there was tremendous energy and talent.

My topic Growing An Engaged Culture:  The 21st Century Leader was very well received and it was fun connect with so many different people that I got to meet along the way!

It has never been more transparent that we live in a fast-moving world IMG_2576FullSizeRender
and that proactively designing culture and growing leaders are essential to our effectiveness as teams, companies, and organizations. I am inspired and grateful that so many business owners and leaders are committing to serving and growing their people in compelling ways.

Some other quick observations / reminders from my time with these innovative leaders at this Global Leadership Conference:

  • Growing Culture Is Dynamic — the environments we create for our employees and those we intersect with every day are rapidly changing. They are not stagnant. We are feeding our cultures every day by the way we Think, Act & Interact. Since they are always growing, we have the great opportunity to proactively design and lead the cultures that we want to be a part of in the world.
  • It’s Okay To Not Have All The Answers — Many CEO’s, Founders or Owners fall into the trap of thinking that they “have to have all the answers.” When they allow themselves to put that burden down and see their road ahead as a journey to be explored with others, a sense of liberation and excitement emerges. They may be the visionary or the leader, but they aren’t alone.
  • What’s Your Contribution? — It’s inspiring to see so many business leaders shifting the way they see their work more broadly and asking the question, “what will be our contribution?” The most compelling leaders see their business existence as a contribution to people and the world rather than just bottom-line outputs.
  • We Can Learn From Each Other — I  love watching other leaders connect with each other, swap stories, share perspectives, and collaborate on solutions. It’s inspiring to see the give and take of wisdom and cultivation of friendships and support. It’s a quiet reminder again that we have so much to learn from each other.

Thank you to all that I met along the way as part of this Global Leadership Conference! The conversations we were able to have together are the currency for change in our own lives, businesses, and our world. Now it’s time to go engage the minds and hearts of your people at your companies! Good luck on the next leg of your journey.

Travel Gracefully,

Jason
